Any Given Non-Sunday NFL Contest thread
It's that time of year again.....are you ready for some football?!
Below is a list of the 34 scheduled games this season that will NOT be played on Sunday- making them logical ones for us to use for our contest. Wednesday September 5 Cowboys at Giants Monday September 10 Bengals at Ravens Monday September 10 Chargers at Raiders Thursday September 13 Bears at Packers Monday September 17 Broncos at Falcons Thursday September 20 Giants at Panthers Monday September 24 Packers at Seahawks Thursday September 27 Browns at Ravens Monday October 1 Bears at Cowboys Thursday October 4 Cardinals at Rams Monday October 8 Texans at Jets Thursday October 11 Steelers at Titans Monday October 15 Broncos at Chargers Thursday October 18 Seahawks at 49ers Monday October 22 Lions at Bears Thursday October 25 Buccaneers at Vikings Monday October 29 49ers at Cardinals Thursday November 1 Chiefs at Chargers Monday November 5 Eagles at Saints Thursday November 8 Colts at Jaguars Monday November 12 Chiefs at Steelers Thursday November 15 Dolphins at Bills Monday November 19 Bears at 49ers Thursday November 22 Texans at Lions Thursday November 22 Redskins at Cowboys Thursday November 22 Patriots at Jets Monday November 26 Panthers at Eagles Thursday November 29 Saints at Falcons Monday December 3 Giants at Redskins Thursday December 6 Broncos at Raiders Monday December 10 Texans at Patriots Thursday December 13 Bengals at Eagles Monday December 17 Jets at Titans Saturday December 22 Falcons at Lions Normally our contest has comprised of who best projects the actual final score of the game, with something as a tiebreaker (last year it was the winning QBs passing yards) Since there is a full week before the first game, I'm open to talking about tweaks/changes for this year...and I'll be thinking about some ideas myself.....including whether there's a better name for the contest!

Q:
What are the pay outs each week? Q: Is there a rolling jackpot for exact score? Q: Should reverse exact score count for anything? Q: passing yards....in the past we have used personal stats...I suggest it be total passing yards by the team rather than the individual. Which may or may not make a difference....unless that particular qb goes down...or maybe a qb by comittee may happen this year...lol...ummmm ? the way a winner is decided seems to work fine. the way tiebreakers are decided (passing yards)..... seems to be the best way....but maybe we could do total rushing yards??...or special teams yardage?? Perhaps make it an option for any of them...yardage is yardage, right? They just have to state which yardage when posting...and for the winning team...??? It occurs to me the winning team would be moot for a tiebreaker....in most cases....but if stated by yardage which option for which team they are guessing, then choosing something opposite of the score your playing would be okay. this also could be a rolling jackpot

My preferences:
Nothing for reversed score. Keep the tie breaker the same for all, make it whatever you want. Multiple exact score, give the loser in the tie breaker a consolation amount.

Any Given Non-Sunday NFL Contest Stick with passing yards, but winning team's total passing yards A winner declared for each game Rolling jackpot starting at 1mil and increasing 100k/game for prognosticating the exact final score
