Also remember, if you have a laptop, you can go to any WiFi hotspot and vote from there as well.

Default Orren and/or Nick

Is there anyway to advise just how many people have come in and/or signed up this month as a result of us keeping the site in the top 5?

Doug is smiling down on ALL of us right now.

Ok, one question...I have a laptop. Now, if I take my laptop to vote, can I vote more than once if I plug it into different stations at my office? We run on a network, but each station has it's own ID I guess.

If I can float around, I can get us a ton of votes
Yes. Each station will have a different IP address, even if only different by one bit [ie, 129.45.12.120 vs 129.45.12.121]. Please, plug and vote! And thank you!

I can post it in this thread. I will decipher between visits and sign-ups.

Thanks Nick. Would be nice to see how we've done as opposed to other months when we were off the mark.

September Registrations 2007 [mpogd]: 4
September Registrations 2007 [total]: 22

August Registrations 2007 [mpogd]: 2
August Registrations 2007 [total]: 67

July Registrations 2007 [mpogd]: 3
July Registrations 2007 [total]: 36

So, slightly over a third of the month gone, and we're already past the last two months. The total sign-ups always flucuate, but mpogd stays pretty much around 2-3.

Wow! Still in the Top 5, but where did #4 come from? We're now 163 out of 4th.

Something fishy happened since this morning. We were in 4th place (not by a whole lot), and now we're way out of 4th and barely in 5th.

4 Galactica Sim 948 6.85%
5 Jockstocks 785 5.67%
6 Threshold 776 5.61%

I think there is more going on with the vote tally at MPOGD. I never tracked vote counts (other than J$ the last several weeks), but have noticed unusual gains in the latter half of the month in the past. Maybe if you advertise on the site you get a "boost" in votes, or something.

Games seem to come out of no where on mpogd... I think some how the game owners are building/creating a program that is able to vote... or atleast 'fake' a real vote.. IE change'n IP addys really fast/quick and voting again... Or they have a huge member base thats extreamly active and they sent a game admin message out to vote and alot of people did.

But, I believe they are fakin votes by either a program or by have'n a program change your IP iddy for you that you can vote alot.

Some games offer periodic incentives for voting that spike their vote counts....sometimes noticeably. Other times you get someone on dialup that decides to sit down and vote dozens of times a day for a few days.....

Exciting news! This is the first time in a loooooong time that we've had TWO pages in the Newbie TV leaderboard!

September Registrations 2007 [mpogd]: 13
September Registrations 2007 [total]: 36

Looking good, and we've actually had an increase of MPOGD traffic over the past few days.

Hey,

I just want to say that this is great. I remember some nights connnecting and disconnecting from my dial up (about 3 years ago) and getting 40-50 votes a night in if I had the time. Thanks to all of those who can and are making the time to vote as much as possible. I know how much time that can take.

Keep voting. It makes a difference and if some of those who join vote on MPOGD for us instead of one of those other games, it may make it more viable for us to do this again next month.

And Yes, Doug would be pleased.
