Stuart Scott. I was not a fan of your schtick but....you seemed to be a good guy.

same here, I don't watch ESPN much anymore and didn't particularly like him on air, but you can't help but respect a guy who battles the way he did...and for over 7 years

I loved his quote from last summer:
"When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live."

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'.

It is never a happy occasion when someone passes on...

But Stuart Scott is one of the reasons I started to NOT watch ESPN for anything other than live sports....

I guess I'm in the minority, but I loved Scott. I didn't watch ESPN all that much, but I always enjoyed when our "paths" crossed.

I watched SC last night and when the played that clip it brought tears to my eyes.

Like him or not he changed the landscape of the show.

I remember as a high school kid watching Scott shout Booyah! and tell me a guy was "as cool as the other side of the pillow." Those were right up there with the old Chris Berman nicknames, as for things I looked forward to on SportsCenter.

Scott seemed like a passionate guy with a contagious personality and a solid character. Without knowing him personally, I'll say I will miss him in my living room.
