TV and internet in rural areas
Ok, I'm thinking spring (mainly 'cause I'm sick o' winter not because spring appears to be here soon)...and for me that also means thinking lake cabin
We can't get cable out at the family cabin We could get satellite, but hard to justify for only a few months a year It's also a bit of a pain to even get local network channels given their towers are 60 miles from the cabin We don't NEED TV that much out there, but it's annoying not even being able to get a single channel (before they all went digital we could at least pick up a couple) It'd be nice to have TV options, for those nights I'd like to stay overnight. I can't stay overnight without also having internet. So here's my thought...I can get internet via my phone..... What options do I have to push internet to the TV? If I can, do that, what TV options do I have? (besides Hulu and Crackle) Isn't there a box (besides PS3 or Xbox) I can buy to pick up internet? Or, better to just pick it up via laptop and push that to the TV... ...or just say screw it and throw up an antenna and get what I get...or find a way to justify satellite...

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'. Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all. Nachos are just tacos that don't have their s_it together. I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it. Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike? |
