Ain't gonna happen with the names in front of him.

I thought it was automatic that your first alternate that made the cut replaced someone not making the cut. Why wouldn't someone do that?

To be fair....I did post for those to re-post their revised line-up.... and that was before the Masters started.

Good luck to all. Please be sure to post your adjusted lineup if there needs to be changes made.
Statement above I interpreted as you can change your picks as tournament was a few days away.

congrats to Tiger!

I pretty sure that last hole he was choking back a ton of emotion....when he went up by two is when it looked like he would start to cry but he kept it together.

very entertaining last round.

Guess you didn't read everything.
In the very first post in this thread:

Pick 6 golfers and 2 alternates. You can only use the alternates if one or two of your 6 misses the cut or gets injured
In the post where I listed my team:

And then yesterday morning:

He sure did. For me, simply one of the top 5 tourns I have witnessed all time. Leaderboard changes, crazy round 4 runs for a few, starting real early due to weather threat (amazing it held off) etc.

For Tiger to get back to this after a significant amount of pundits and know it all sportscasters dictating it would never happen, the injuries, the surgeries, the back fusion, to me.....simply amazing. If you were smart enough to watch....hearing that Tiger chant on 18, the full circle of hugging your father for the first one then hugging your son for the latest one was as moving as anything I have seen....ever.

Is Tiger the G.O.A.T.? My Dad still says Jack Nicklaus, but I find that hard to believe from what I've seen in my lifetime. Granted, I just caught the tail end of Nicklaus's career. But the sheer dominance of Tiger over a short period, including the Tiger Slam, and now this staggering accomplishment of winning the Masters' in his 40s after a 10+ year drought--I mean really?

Just counting Majors still give Nicklaus the edge, but to me that's like saying that Bill Russell is better than Michael Jordan because of a simple count of championship rings.

this is one way we differ Rich....I've not been a big Tiger fan, admittedly in part because the media continues to act like golf isn't relevant unless Tiger is....

Why was this win that impressive? It's not like noone his age has won it.

My brother, a much bigger golf fan, was also commenting that 'only Tiger can get away with wearing a shirt with no collars when many courses may make you buy one just to be on their course'

I have to agree with your Dad. But......when all is said and done I do believe Tiger will be the G.O.A.T.....with an asterisk.. Jack intimidated like Tiger.
At 58 yrs old he tied for 6th at the Masters.
In 44 majors, he missed one cut.
He won the Masters 6 times and finished 2nd 4 times.
He has 18 major wins and 19 2nds.
He, like Tiger has 3 career grand slams.

It goes on and on, and NEVER, were there any personal controversies...

Orren, that shirt has been approved by the PGA and others do, in fact, wear them. Adam Scott, Phil MIckelson and Rory McIlroy come to mind.

The win was impressive because he overcame the incredible pressure of the back 9 at the Masters on a Sunday....while others squandered numerous opportunities.

As I said, considering the injuries and surgeries, only Ben Hogan ever did that.
