The first thing I would do is go to the "oasis" (look at the top of this page and find the oasis 2nd from the right. Go there and read as much as you can stand to.....there are tips for all levels of playing this game. There is a lot there to go over...I'd recommend this http://jockstocks.com/oasis/gettingstarted.php first.
Know that the fastest possible way to grow your port is to "daytrade". This means finding the best buys daily.....and selling them and starting over every single day. Use "autosell" (which you can use if you click and VOTE on the banners every day. http://jockstocks.com/oasis/banners.php Then go here http://jockstocks.com/oasis/monthly1.php to better understand how the monthly is played. Now , while I'm not suggesting you PLAY a monthly..the theory behind playing monthly is the exact theory you should use to grow your port the fastest.

hey speedinc, ive been on here since i think mid august, and i just clipped the $2 billion mark. One thing that I suggest (it isn't fun), is to not hold a long term stock at all until you have amassed a few hundred of millions. Then I just started to hold goflers when I hit $500 mil, as in my opinion they gain the most (4 times a week).
As for baseball starting up (wooohoooo), watch for the guys who have 10 home runs, 10 wins, and closers who get wins. I still use this indicator: whenever say Chris Drury (NHL) has a goal, assist, -1, his goal was on the PP. I check to see similar stats of what his bonus was the next morning. The Divi Depository is a haven of information, both good and bad, (mostly good!). Hope that helps at all.

hey guys....being new to this game feels really great at step 1 and totally confusing on step 2...
so to start with my problems, i wanted to know that i belong from India...where the GMT runs +5:30..so how can i figure out that wen is the divis been distributed n when can i sell it off....thats d most confusing part...  please help.. waiting..

Firstly, welcome to Jockstocks and feel free to ask questions anytime.
To answer this one, I believe 9:00am eastern US time (when dividends are given out here) would be 7:30pm in the evening for you in India. (It should be just after 7pm for you as I post?) Eastern US is at GMT -5 Now, that said, if you know what you want sold, you should use our autosell system. Get an autosell ticket by voting for us on the 4 voting sites (there's a Vote link at the top of the forum page or bottom of other pages). You'll get free money for your portfolio for doing it, too. Once you've got your ticket, when you're on your portfolio page you can move the stocks you want to sell by checking the box next to them then clicking the 'move to autosell' graphic. Stocks in autosell will be automatically sold by our system just after dividends are given out, whether you're on site or not.
