We IPO players after they appear to be steady enough players to reach at least conservative minimums for statistics. We don't IPO everybody because 1.) it's that many more stats to enter (we don't currently buy stats feeds) and 2.) it's that many more players for members to have to keep track of

You can always suggest players to IPO....you can even earn IPO choices when we do little contests, etc. (like we shoulda been doing for the US Open for example)

So is this more of a member ran site? Ive been playin with my portfolios and trying to get familiar with the site... Can I actively buy and sell players stock anytime? What about players for sports that are out of season.. i take it injuries and off the field issues apply or is their stock just stay stagnant till the season?

If you look at the bottom of your portfolio page you will see a link to Oasis. I highly suggest you go there, read the posts about getting started and see if that answers many of your questions.

This is not a member run site, but we do allow members considerable input into things. You can buy/sell stocks anytime however only in-season stocks will generally be worth buying as dividends are only given on statistics players generate today.

Play any/all your portfolios....but understand that your monthly, quarterly, and yearly ports will reset to $1mil at the end of their period..so the one you'll want to focus on originally is your total value or TV port as that one you can build ongoing.

While a tour is being developed, spoc's suggestion to do some reading at the Oasis is a good one.
