sorry, didn't see this until now
what were you saying? I don't really get it. The Vikings played the first 2 games looking like it was preseason. But lost to the Titans and Seahawks literally by about a yard (just wide on a late FG before losing by 1 to the Titans, Mattison 1 foot short on that 4th down or they'd have beat Seattle). Had they won those 2 games and gone into the Falcons game 3-2 instead of 1-4 they likely play considerably better...potentially then 4-2 and nobody is talking about how bad they are. Meanwhile, the media was giving teams like the Texans a break saying 'but look who they've played'.....yet the Vikings 1st 4 losses were to teams that were like 18-3 going into week 6. Their top 3 corners from the last few years are gone. They let Everson Griffin and Linval Joseph walk away on the DL. They sign Michael Pierce to play DT and he opts out. Danielle Hunter is on IR and won't play all season. They lost Anthony Barr for the season in like week 2 or 3. Their most veteran at this point corner (3rd yr) can't stay healthy. So, they're playing with 6 new starters compared to last year and a couple more compared to week 1. And that's just the D....but then, other than Cousins' picks, the O hasn't been the problem all year. Still, Cook missed most of 2 games, no WR not named Thielen or Jefferson has done anything, and they've had injuries on a line that wasn't all that good in the first place. So...watching yesterday...will the REAL 2020 Minnesota Vikings please stand up. I looked at their schedule before yesterday and wondered whether they'd win more than 3 games all season....meaning they couldn't outsuck the Jets for Trevor Lawrence, but could end up with a shot at Justin Fields or Trey Lance (since dammit, if they have a shot at a top QB in the draft, it's time to take it). ...then yesterday happened and some of those assumed losses look like potential wins....Cowboys, Lions twice, Jaguars along with Bears twice, Bucs, Panthers, Saints. I mean they're not going to run the table or anything, but there's still the potential to actually vie for the playoffs.........which would likely only screw up their draft position

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'. Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all. Nachos are just tacos that don't have their s_it together. I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it. Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike? |
