Possible new AG?
Article Bush might nominate someone that doesnt piss off moderates, independents, progressives, and/or liberals? Did it really take him only 7 years to figure out how bipartisanship (ie not the my way or highway approach) really works? Or since they're the only group left that isnt in that group, is he just trying to infuriate and piss off the ultra-extremist conservative base (this in conjunction with the immigration political debacle)?

The president needs for 51 votes in the senate to confirm any cabinet member.
Maybe the president does not want another fight on his hands. The president is caught in the middle and getting squeezed on both sides on a number of issues right now. So it does not really surprise me at all that the president would all of a sudden not want an ultra conservative like say John Ashcroft or even a hint of someone like Mr. Ashcroft to be his A.G. nominee right now. I don't think that Stephen Limbaugh Sr. who is a federal judge would not be the type of person that would be nominated by the president at this time either. The nominee better be liked by democrats or this process is not going to be pleasant at all. And there is one other factor in all of this is the president and the congress getting along right now in the first place?
