Seriously though, what does that have to do anything? Obama didn't send a text message to Biden to let him know he was his choice for VP. The text message was a broadcast announcement to Obama's supporters, no different that using any newswire or television news network to disseminate information.

actually no i don't i think it was an attempt to rally them (and i'll concede they typically vote to the left hence the McCain camp's issue with it) and to drum up a list of potential contributors (and that was without regard to age)
