$19 million to a punter!!!
$19 million to a punter!!!
You read that right! Thanks to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, a few teams have to raise their payroll to meet league the league minimum. It also means that some teams will have to overpay some players just to meet that minimum...such as the new punter for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Granted, it's a 6-year deal ($3.25 million/yr), but still. I think that's way too much for a punter. On the other hand, it is the Bucs, maybe they're expecting him to use him often. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/7...the-right-move |

You got something against punters? Punters can make a huge difference in a game...changing field po................oh I can't do it, that's a ton o' money for a guy that doesn't have to be in the same condition his teammates does and only comes in a half dozen plays a game

28th in net average per punt, Tied for eighth in the NFL and tied for fourth in the NFC when getting the ball pinned inside the 20-yard line. It's hardly someone worth overpaying for. |
