as much as i want to believe that, I really think he sent McLennan out there to send a message, not to just keep kipper healthy. I'm not saying he went out and told him to slash Franzen, but probably said SOMETHING to him about keeping him out of his area. If you look at the replay, Franzen wasnt even CLOSE to the crease and McLennan started taking shots at him. What a punk. But in the end, justice was served. Not only does he get suspensions and fines, but Franzen scores the game winner to oust them from the playoffs.

Why does Mclennan get only 5 games when Simon got 30? The goalie stick is capable of doing far more damage than a regular stick.

I believe he was sent out to send a message to the Wings to stop running the goalie.

i believe that is what i said. Problem was, their version of "running the goalie" was more like...ow, he touched me.
