Its just amazing to me how much One player can mean for a team. Seriously. When Hibbert is in the game, GU gets back into it and looks like a better team. Then he picks up his 4th foul and boom, OSU back to a 6 pt lead.

on the other hand, the good teams have balance and can handle it when they're star is in trouble. such as the performance coneley has put on twice during this tourney (and numerous times during the season) when oden was on the bench for extended periods.

which brings me to another point, oden is special no doubt but i'm so sick of hearing how he is ohio state. conneley has carried this team and by far his contributions have exceeded those of oden. he is IMO the integral component on that team and the biggest part of their overall success.

A little known fact... When Matta was going after these 2 guys... The HS Coach always told Matta that Mike Conley JR was the "best" player he has ever coached...

Conley has been inreplaceable for this team... But Ron Lewis has been the man for OSU the last 6 weeks... even though he didn't have a big game today...
