Johnny Manziel
OK, there was oversleeping at QB camp...there was...well several other miscellaneous things that have marred his offseason and perceived character.
None compare to supposedly sitting thru 6 autograph sessions signing over 4,000 items. So, my curiosity is....what do YOU think he's guilty of? Feel free to discuss whether the NCAA should be changing their regulations, but the CURRENT regulations are still in force, like them or not.

How can it be "all the above" when "1 and 3 only" omits #2?

so the NCAA in its infinite 'wisdom' has somehow completed this investigation already and deemed him guilty......of signing his name for commercial purposes without permission
He has been SUSPENDED....for HALF.........a game because we're supposed to believe he signed thousands of items for no compensation whatsoever ...and if A&M weren't under the SEC umbrella?

Figures
NCAA and SEC football... What did you expect? The investigation was a sham. The decision seems based solely on the six hours of interviews Manziel gave them. He was either honest and sincere when he told them lies or just persuasive and consistent when he told bald-faced lies. The decision the NCAA came to doesn't pass the smell test and just adds to the joke that the enforcement arm already is.

I've been saying it for many, many years...the NCAA is the WORST governing body in all of sports.
Clearly a double-standard... I'm surprised they came to a verdict, as worthless as the one they came up with, as quickly as they did... I thought they would wait until the end of the season to "punish" him to really send a message.../sarcasm |

I guess the most disappointing for me is that they no longer even bother to cover their bias.
Reminds me of my old dog....when he was young, I knew to prepare myself for a cloud of methane when he'd suddenly and sheepishly get up and leave the room. But as he got older, he'd just fart, remain laying down, and at most, look up at me as if to say 'too bad, deal with it' So, what if A&M hadn't joined the SEC? How different is the result? 'course, he likely doesn't get the Heisman if he doesn't play against Alabama last year... How is it this 'investigation' is over after a 6 hour 'interview' with the 'accused' when investigations like Oregon and Miami take 2 years?

Remember they had to talk to three or four people in Oregon's case. It took what 4 or 5 years to decide there was something wrong in USC football then another year to figure out what the punishment is. It's time for the NCAA go away. They serve no real purpose anymore.
