Default Who changes teams this week?

With the MLB trading deadline (tho it isn't really a deadline...just the deadline for unrestricted trades) coming up this Thursday, who are the sellers and who are the buyers....and who's selling/buying whom?

Now....especially with that 'QB controversy' in Green Bay....it's not like baseball is the ONLY sport a trade might happen this week either....

my guess would be either Jason Bay or Xavier Nady end up as Yankee.

not that I know a lot about the prospects.......on the surface this appears to be a lopsided deal in the Yankees' favor...

if I'm a Yankees fan (which, of course...I'm not) I'm thinking 'add a solid SP and we're in great shape'
...and Jerrod Washburn is out there to be brought in...

A lot of people thought Sasha Vujacic would leave the Lakers to sign in Europe, and here in L.A. we didn't want to lose both him and Turiaf. But they resigned him last night.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3505672

So it's not him.

NFL:
I see Brett Farve playing for the Atlanta "the same team that gave up on him" Falcons.

Terry Glenn was just released by the Cowboys because he wouldn't sign an injury clause. I have no clue where he'd go, probably a contender. Back to the Pats? The Raiders would be a possible destination.

MLB:

My Cardinals are DYING for a decent starting pitcher, or any pitching for that matter. The big deals that the Brewers and Cubbies pulled off hurt. Mulder and Carp are set to come back soon, but it'd be nice to add a nice #3. I've heard they're interested in A.J. Burnett.
NBA:

Emeka Okafor and the Bobcats are far off of a contract, that one is starting to seem unlikely. I see him going to the Sonics? Portland would be a nice destination, and pair him up with Oden next season?

Starting pitching won't help the Cardinals this year. They aren't as good as their record would indicate. The worse thing they could do is give up what few prospects they have to sign Burnett, who can opt out of any contract after this season.

As far as who gets moved, it's likely to be guys we haven't heard any rumours about and guys you would never expect. Nady to the Yankees for God sakes. Most of the big names will end up free agents.

My big guess is Manny finally gets moved. I mean even one the most the enlightened front offices in baseball won't continue to put up with that crap he's pulling lately.

My second big guess is that a team finally signs Bonds. It's about time.

WTF, are the Twins thinking? Free Liriano....

Does anyone wonder why the Pirates continue to suck year after year?

Manny for sure.

I know I know it is Manny being Manny and the Red Sox can't exactly get even a couple of players to replace him but it almost seems to me that he is acting like himself again so he does not have to play in Boston after this season. But I did notice that Big Pappi did give him a big hug after Manny got the Red Sox offense going Sunday night.

I can't wait to see if Big Pappi can actually do it without Manny.

It seems that the Red Sox need a little bullpen help after the middle innings last Saturday. Brian Fuentes and Matt Holiday to the Red Sox. I think the Red Sox need one more bat for some reason to win the world series.

Will Brett Favre be moved before O's deadline of this Friday oh all right it Thursday at 11:59 p.m.. Now are we on Eastern Daylight time or not? I don't think Brett will be moved before then because he is a pretty big salary cap hit and a team that gets him may need to cut a player or two to be under the cap. I want Brett to move as soon as possible so that E.S.P.N. doesn't go on a little story about Brett ever single darn day. Well I know that is just E.S.P.N. being E.S.P.N.. Maybe Manny could go work for E.S.P.N. after he retires.

There is another little problem with teams trading away players in baseball. Most teams do not want to give up pitching and about half of the teams in baseball still have a good chance of making the playoffs.

And of course I am sure the Yankees will be adding someone just to be adding someone. Who that is I have no idea though.

The Braves first basemen that has a hard last name to spell may be moved as well. I don't think the Diamondbacks will give up the farm or even a decent player to get him though. It appears that the Diamondbacks have a pretty bright future ahead of them but who knows.

He's doing something this season heretofore unknown to him. He's hitting right handed pitching.

From a Yankee perspective it is. The rest of the AL should be crying foul.
