there IS talk of a three and a five dollar coin....i gonna call it the phooey. pennies are dead here now. retailers dealing in cash round off to the nearest nickel. pennies still count on paper, but the coins are worth more as scrap!! Super duper re-enforced pockets are necessary in Canada. Such a wad of coins already. Used to be I'd have like .85 cents up to a couple bucks (  ) in pocket all the time. Nowadays, its easy to accumulate up to twenty bucks and more in coins in no time. Sure doesn't 'feel' like pocket change to me!....but it is what it is. our "paper" currency is see through plastic now. getting used to it....impossible to rip! also very hard to duplicate.
