OT: Charitable donations
For those that do contribute....do you ever wonder where your $$$$ are going? How much is going to the organization doing the fundraising and how much goes to the charity?
Do you wonder who's full of crap and who isn't? Would you donate (for those that do not) if you felt confident about where your $$$ are going? I found this site today as this has always been an issue for me...as a result I've stuck with St Judes, Make-a-wish, Childrens Miracle Network and a couple others. Only a handful of places get my donation. St Judes + My Church are two of them + we donate clothes to the Vet Program that picks them up from our house a few times a year and we volunteer a lot in person.
Otherwise, I take the Progressive Liberal approach of letting the government take care of 'those people' ... </sarcasm> Nick
