Thats an astounding number you only see in the US in small states like Delaware or North Dakota (and in most cases not even that). Heck TV commentators sound astonished if even only 50% of elgible voters vote.

True, but I'm sure it has something to do with being a smaller nation. I'd hope that if we only had 10% of the population we do now, that we'd have better voter turnout.
