Default 4th Annual NFL Fantasy Playoff Challenge

NFL PLAYOFFS ARE HERE! The game is simple, pick 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 TE, 3 WR, 1 K and a defense to ride out for the entire playoffs. PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL ONLY BE PICKING ONE COMPLETE TEAM FOR THE DURATION OF THE PLAYOFFS. ALSO, PLEASE MENTION YOUR FAVORITE NFL TEAM. Players on teams with a first round "Bye" will not receive any points for the first round, but may still be picked. The format is going to be like fantasy football with points listed below. You are free to mix and match players from multiple teams or go heavy on a team you think will win the Super Bowl. But be warned once a team is eliminated from the Playoffs any players you have on that team will be eliminated too. All games will be scored including the Super Bowl.

QBs, RBs, WR-

Point per 10 passing yards (100 yards=10 points)
Touchdown (passing, rushing, receiving, fumble recovery, return)= 7 points
Interceptions= -1
Fumble lost= -2
Rushing Yards= 10 yards=1 point (136 yards=13.6 points)
Receiving yards= 10 yards=1 point (136 yards=13.6 points)

K-
PAT = 1 point
Field Goal up to 39 yards= 3 points
Field Goal 40-48 yards= 4 points
Field Goal 49 yards and up= 5 points

Defense:
Sack= 1
Int= 2
Fumble Recovery= 2
TD (punt/Kick off returns as well)= 7
Safety= 2
Blocked kick= 3
Points Allowed 0= 10
Points Allowed 1-6= 7
Points Allowed 7-13= 4
Points Allowed 14-20= 1
Points Allowed 21-27= 0
Points Allowed 28-34= -1
Points Allowed 35+= -4

Any entries must be sent via e-mail to [email protected], you can message myself of Orren. Entries will be accepted until the first game...whenever that is. I will be keeping score and try to give updates each night a game(s) will be played.

Any questions or concerns please message me. Thank you and good luck.

NOTE: Players will only receive points for the games they play in. Any players on a team that has a first round bye won't play in any games this next weekend so they won't receive any points until following weekend...so pick your teams wisely.

Here are our past winners:

Reason: Added P.A.T. for kickers

I get too much spam there, so I never check it.

I want to address one of the scoring rules:

About the Passing TD's, but I'm doing them the same way as last year and just lumping them in with the "TD's Scored". So whether a QB throws a TD or runs it in himself, he'd still get the same amount of points (7).

I'm just trying to simplify things for me.

Thanks for understanding and Happy New Year to you all.

1. bballjer44
2. da beast (I still need a TE pick and your favorite team...not sure if you have one...the team...not a Tight End).
3. danoh49
4. h20guy

Entries are due by Saturday, 1:30 PM (PST).

*This is the last year that salary data will be particularly interesting to keep an eye on because a salary floor will be introduced next season. This will require all teams to spend very close to the same amount each season.

Here's who I have confirmed so far:

bballjer44
da beast
danoh44
h20guy
jpf25
thewinman

Since I don't have a team from Rich, Nick or Orren yet, I have sent my completed team to Beast and Jerry (for competition integrity). Thanks for understanding and get your entries in...due date is this Saturday.

I can't promise anything, but there might be a prize for the winner. (it's a strong possibility)

Also, I understand that some like to wait until a few days before to send their entries in (which is completely fine), but if you could please help me out and give me a head's up and let me know that you're going to send one, so I can work on the file and post it faster. I want as many entries as possible. Thanks again.

I have my team all set....just waiting on a couple of injury reports to finalize. There could easily be a change.

Awesome, thanks. I completely understand. It just really helps to know how many and who is participating beforehand (even if I don't have their teams). Thanks Rich.
