A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'
IMHO we finally have a POTUS that will get us back on the right track. We survived the community organizer but I am not optimistic that he will just go away and enjoy his ill-gotten wealth.
God bless our Troops.

for what it's worth, the typical hard drive starts having larger and larger issues with things like that once you use towards 70% of its capacity...especially if one adds and deletes larger files fairly regularly....a way around that, at least partially, is to set regularly scheduled scans like this on a regular, even weekly basis (i.e. 3am on a Tuesday or some other time when it's highly unlikely you're on it)

I haven't looked lately to see if the cost of solid state drives are dropping....either way, another consideration for you would be get an external drive to house some of your files...the problem there is, if you're like me, I have an external, but use it only as a backup to files I keep on my internal drive.

Another option is to look into cloud storage...getting cheaper there, too
