Totally agree. Conference championship games were started in both basketball and football for the money. In football most teams drop if they lose. But if an undefeated team loses to a one loss team that always have highly rated recruits they still get in. Voters just don't consider performance more than hereditary talent.
In basketball a lower rated conference always get a team(s) bumped by another conference because of conference tournament upsets. In my opinion a team that wins a conference tournament who otherwise would not have gotten in should only bump another team in its conference. NCAA could slot conference winner and lowest seed in bracket and let conference pick the one to make it.

Did an NFL QB really just win big while throwing for only 88 yards, with 45 of them on one play?! Also congrats to the NDSU Bison........winning their 8th national championship in 9 years, 3rd in a row.....and being the first team since 1894 to go 16-0 (and this was to be a DOWN year?!). The NCAA whines that the FBS Championship playoffs can't be expanded in part because that's too many games for them to play.....yet FCS schools routinely play up to 4 playoff games after a 12 game season every year...and it could be 5 if a team makes a run w/o an opening bye.
