We do need a Paris Hilton update around here don't we?
This place is starting to act like Fox New now. Paris is getting her sentenced reduced for good behavior. Story here I wonder what she did? Promise not to drink alcohol for half an hour. There is a bit of other good news for Ms. Hilton. She will not be placed in the general population. The bad news though she will not be able to drink alcohol for about three weeks. I hope she can make it. This begs one question though. Would John Q. Public be getting the same special treatment for doing the same thing Paris did?

The guy who lives down the block from me is going through his probation stage of his first DWI.
He had to spend a weekend in detox (and pay for it) after he got picked up. He had to spend about $200 to get his car out of the impound lot. After he was sentenced, had to spend 1 weekend in jail (the judge was lenient enough to work it around for a weekend when he didnt have visitation of his boy). He had an ankle bracelet on for 30 days being under house arrest. Hes now on 2 years probation where hes not supposed to drink alcohol, and they can come by anytime to give him a breathlyzer or some other type of test like that. He had his plates taken away, and bought them back last week for $900, and they have the DWI sticker deal on it which means he can be pulled over at any time for the next 2 years. He also had his license suspended for 45 days and had to retake the written test to get it back. Thats an example of John Q Public getting in trouble for drunk driving (granted CA and MN likely have different sentencing guidelines for such things). Dont even ask what his insurance rates are now.
