How does the NBA know the first sentence before it happens? Is it the percentage chance that the two teams with the two worst records in the league have of getting the #1 pick. No wonder the Knicks are not the Knicks of old. Is there a plethora of reasons the Knicks have sucked so bad recently? Just remember there is a character limit on each post in a thread. I seem to remember that the Celtics were sitting down multiple players at a time towards the end of the season. Now of course the Celtics would never come out and admit they were tanking but what other possible reason besides injuries could the Celtics reasonably come up with sitting so many players down at one time? I wonder if this has anything to do with the Celtics getting the worst possible pick according to the quote above?

The Griz were locked into no worse than a 4th pick and the Celts no worse than a 5th.
Only the top 3 spots are decided by the "bingo balls" and then they are set in reverse order of the record. Even though the Griz had the most balls in the vat and the Celts right behind them, they draw one ball and whoever it is gets the #1 ... same for the #2 and same for the #3. After that, they go by record. Understand?? (I know I repeated myself, but I am trying to make to where I understand myself!!!) |

I may be a little late to comment on this, but my theory now that Rashard Lewis declared free agency in that the Blazers pick Oden, and pick up Lewis as a free agent. He and coach McMillen are close so we'll wait and see what happens.
