BMW Championship
On to the 3rd round of the playoffs. With his win in Boston last week, STRST leapfrogged Tiger for the top spot. But as Rich pointed out a couple weeks ago, its all about who gets into the top 5 after this week, as any golfer in the top 5 who wins in Atlanta automatically becomes the Fedex champ. Note that as there's only 70 golfers who make it to this week's field, there will be no cut, so a heads up to those who buy/hold.
Traditionally known as the Western Open, this tourney has some of the most tradition of any tournament on the tour, going all the way back to 1899. This year the tourney returns to familiar grounds, as it heads back to Cog Hill Golf Course just outside of Chicago. VILCA is the defending champ, and the winner takes home $1.35mil. Thank you -mmm- for inspiring rich. Is it just me or even if a player just has one good week they can be in contention for the playoff win. I mean playoffs are about doing well over a period of time. Well I guess it could be possible to have a bad week in the NASCAR Chase for the cup and still win the championship but not more than one bad race though. Plus with regards to golf the most important part is not even at the end of the season. Well the Daytona 500 is pretty important to NASCAR as well.
