Official MNF(TNF) Contest thread
Ok boys and girls, it's officially FOOTBALL season once again...the sport that makes the weather growing colder more tolerable.
Among other things, that means it's time once again to start our Monday (Thursday) Night Football Contest! For now (I reserve the right to add to it!), the contest is simply to pick the score of the game BEFORE the game kicks off.....closest to the actual score wins. Closest means how far your prediction for each team is from their actual score; must pick correct winner to win. For example, our first contest is Pittsburgh vs Tennessee; let's say the Steelers win 21-17 and your prediction was Steelers 24 Titans 14. Your score would be 6 because your prediction for each team was off by 3. We used to use player of the game as a tiebreaker....we can again, but I can't remember if they even always had one last year and now Madden's retired.....anyway... We'll also have a rolling jackpot; predict the score (and winning team) EXACTLY and win the jackpot. Each week it isn't won (which was all last year!) I'll add another 100k. I'll even start that jackpot off...at 1mil! (remember, this is only for your TV port...it's not real cash!) And....$1mil to whomever has the most wins during the course of the year So....basic rules Predict the score of the game....the one closest to the ACTUAL score wins 100k for their TV port. Tiebreaker: Predict the horse trailer player of the game So each entry (for easier scoring) should be in this format <visiting team> score <home team> score Player of the game Including a team logo, etc, is fine...but please use that basic format
