Although it may seem absurd, the idea behind the law is to help homeless people by not making them dependent upon handouts.

I'm just glad to see there are still some people with a degree of human decency left out there. Kudos to you Mr. Montanez and your group for placing human decency ahead of elitism and corporate desire

Hardly the case ...

If you're interested in helping, try finding them a job or a place to stay, and get them on their feet! Don't feed them and promote laziness and self-pity! Oh, and if they have a mental, health or mental health issue, aid them in getting the proper care!

If these people had any degree of human decency they'd realize that watching your fellow man walk around dirty, diseased, and hopeless is sickening! If they had any degree of human decency they'd realize that they need to be helping instead of hurting their fellow Americans; provide them with a future filled with optimism instead of a life void of meaning!

Actually, there is one city and I can't remember which city it was but the a councilman admitted they created a similar law is to get the homeless away from the business in the downtown district. According to the councilman they were scaring customers away.

This is the first time I've heard anyone cited for violating this type of law. How would you like to be the officer writing the citation instead of going after real criminals.

And here I thought being convicted of breaking a law makes you a criminal.

Which means this guy in this case isnt a criminal.
