Default Testing Testing, is this thing on?!

It's been FAR too long, and saying I'm sorry isn't enough, but it's what we got.

No, it wasn't our fault there was a power outage that knocked our server out in the first place. And no, we couldn't foresee the communication issues we'd have with our data center making it more difficult to decide whether to lose some data but get online sooner or wait it out....but it is what it is now....

I just checked on facebook and no recent posts. I assume some admin message will come, but what do we have and what don't we have? BTW, welcome back. I would follow some game and think "Oh I need to buy him" only to remember that I couldn't. What is the activity in market2 from? Is this like the Star Trek episode where we go back in time? Again, hope all is well.

The activity is where the market stood on February 18th right before the crash.

As for Facebook, we have been posting regularly there; I'm not sure why you didn't see the post.

The good thing with Facebook is that we've been able to utilize that when we've had issues here. The bad thing is, people are used to that being the only time we've posted there.

Therefore, we've hesitated to post if we don't have something new to say. I thought many times of posting other type things, just to converse, but opted not to.

If by recent, we hadn't posted since last week's post, you're right. We had nothing new to say once we found out how long it was still going to take to get the part we needed to get our server back online.

We didn't go back in time....the site is just 'frozen' where it was the morning of the 17th when the power outage occurred.....with those Friday buys and Saturday divis still in there because the market hadn't reset for the day. If the market was open, we'd have reset the market....it'll do it on it's own at noon tomorrow.

Facebook runs algorithms (like how often someone comments on an item, likes an item, etc) as to what they think each person wants to see and how high up it appears in "their" news feed. Little activity from Jockstocks in the past probably why algorithms flag as low interest and thus some didn't see.
The day server failed I emailed Nick and he said there was a message on Facebook. I didn't see anything but then searched "jockstocks" in Facebook search bar to get to your homepage and have seen each latter post near the top of my news feed.

Just another reason why we should (as much as I dislike it) utilize Facebook more often, posting there a lot more often.

Good to have everything back up and running.

That being said, I did kind of enjoy the vacation from JockStocks. I was able to earn my Ph.D., win a Nobel Prize and hike the Appalachian Trail. Very productive.

Hiking the AT in 3 weeks during winter much more impressive than the other two accomplishments.

First week was nice break, after that started going thru withdrawal.

Glad we're back.

I'm basically waiting on Nick to run some scripts. I could turn the market on, but don't want to do so without him running those scripts and resetting the market.
