Hyundai Tournament of Champions
A new golf season is upon us
As usual, it starts off with the Hyundai where the field is composed of only the players who won a tournament last season. Though not all winners will play. Tiger (who isnt elgible) and Phil Mickelson are among many of the big names who routinely skip Hawaii, and many of the European players dont use one of their limited opportunities to play State-side to play these tourneys. It is played at the Plantation Course at the Kapula Resort on Maui. The course is a par 73 course (according to wiki, the only par 73 course on tour), with 7 holes of over 500 yards. It also has many elevation changes, which can cause for some tricky putting. Despite this you can find good scores, especially if you get favorable trade winds that help. BYRJO is the defending champ, and the winner gets $1,120,000. Baddeley, Aaron Bradley, Keegan Byrd, Jonathon Choi, K.J. Crane, Ben Frazar, Harrison Glover, Lucas Haas, Bill Laird, Martin Molder, Bryce Na, Kevin O'Hair, Sean Piercy, Scott Sabbatini, Rory Simpson, Webb Stricker, Steve Toms, David Wagner, Jonathon Watney, Nick Watson, Bubba Wilson, Mark Woodland, Gary Only 6 unlisted players for this (Chris Kirk, DA Points, Scott Stallings, Brandon Steele, Jhonnathon Vegas, and Michael Bradley)
