Default 'k the shocks starting to wear off....

How about that USA men's soccer team?!? A shutout against the defending European champion ending their 15 game win streak and advancing to their first ever FIFA final!!!!

Hat's off to the boys and here's to a similar outcome in Sunday's final

Right now South Africa is doing pretty well against Spain too. I think it'll be a good game tonight (USA vs. Brazil), does anyone know what time the game starts (PST)?

I only watch soccer during the world cup.

I first watched the world cup when Diego Maradona helped Argentina win the world cup and have watched parts of the world cup each time since then.

Plus I like to watch the Spanish television station as well during the World Cup. Every once in a while I like to listen to Goooooooaaaaaaalllllll television announcer guy for a while. It can get a little bit annoying if there are a lot of goals though. But that does not happen a lot in soccer though. Maybe I just explained part of the reason why soccer is not as big here as it in other parts of the world that really get into it. We like our sports to be exciting and have a lot of action in it. But for me just like in baseball sometimes I think a 1-0 soccer game is just as exciting as a 3-2 soccer game.

So when we beat Spain the other day would this about as big of an upset as when the Giants beat the Patriots in Super Bowl.

Not to many people picked the Giants to win that game.

So would Spain be one of the favorites to win the world cup next June?

I think that if Bradley could have played today the US would have won as he's their best possession guy, and that's where the Brazilians really took it to us in the 2nd half (especially with that brilliantly executed strategy the US employed in the first half that disappeared after halftime).

Now hopefully the US doesnt have any more slip-ups through CONCACAF qualifying (like they had in Costa Rica), and they just might be in line for one of the top slots when they do the world cup draw the next year. The stunning (thus far) downfall of the Mexican side should help, and in fact this might be the time Sam's Army finally gets a win in Estadio Azteca when they go down there in August.
