This tournament is being played at Quail Hollow, one of the MOST respected courses on tour. That combined with a first prize of almost a 1/4 of a mil higher then MOST tourns this year is enough to get 29 of the top 30 entered.
Tiger will be playing the Pro-am with Michael Jordan, the first time the duo has done that. Yes they HAVE played together before...privately. Can't find out who the 3rd in that group is yet though....I'm pretty curious about that.
I expect this course to play like a major...with the lack of rain in NC this year..the course should be hard and fast. The scene of David Toms (a few years ago) leading the field by 6 shots going to the 72nd hole...and proceeding to get a quad bogey 8 to NARROWLY win by one.
One of my favorite stats....the Fed_ex Cup point standings. I hope most will notice how high Tiger is in so much FEWER tourns than ANYONE else. It mirrors the money standings...usually.
