Market Value - Sunday morning
I ran across a file I had from roughly 10 years 10 months ago. It calculated total market value of all active stocks. So I ran it again in order to see whats changed.
Some observations in case you can't read the attached:
TV has climbed from 5 trillion to 29 trillion.
# of shares has declined by over 40%.
NBA value has dropped from a dominating 80% of market to 14%, trailing golf, NHL, and MLB.
Golf has climbed 7.5x to #1.
NASCAR has 4 of the top 5 stocks.
Average price of a share has climbed from $234 to $2,430.
