Ohtani- problem?
Not for Ohtani, he's now got a $700mil contract
However, I'm curious what others think about almost all of it being deferred 10 years- $680mil of it won't be paid until 2034!! Should a team be able to do this? Or, without a cap, does it really matter? Now, without having to actually pay for Ohtani right now, the Dodgers can go that much harder at Yamamoto AND have the inside track because he'd be joining fellow-countryman Shohei. I've said for years that money will kill professional sports and it's getting more and more true every year. Thoughts?

Nobody plays for the love of the game anymore....ESPECIALLY NBA. I also have a problem with being able to defer $$$$$. Now other countries and their money are affecting American sports....LIV golf and Saudi Arabia, what they have done to the pGA is disgraceful.
