Default VICMI To Eagles

I don't really see him starting over McNabb, but they should have a very exciting offense. Look for them to score some nice two point conversions.

I would've liked to have seen him go somewhere where a starting job is up for grabs. I could've swore he was going to sign with the Raiders. Personally, I think it was a bad signing for Philly.

Are you actually saying he deserves a starting spot?

I'm not saying he does/does not "deserve" a starting spot, just saying I think he's a flashy QB that would sell tickets. He was always fun to watch when he ran the show in Atlanta. haha, I could start for the Raiders.

This was going to be a tough one regardless...........does he, doesn't he deserve another NFL shot......

....and deny it all you want, you know you weren't sure how you'd feel if it were YOUR team signing him...........

mixed feelings here...would have liked to see him take the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL) to the promised land!

the only way i might temper my disgust for this move is if reid and company convert him to a 2b and return man.

if not i'd rather have feeley as number two and even (god forbid) kolb as number three over him.

the thing that really shocks me is throughout the reid tenure in philly the organization has gone out of its way to make sure they avoided (with the one obvious horribly tragic instance) players with questionable character and ego (right jeremiah?). so much for that i guess

I am honestly shocked myself, Ken.........there were a few teams I thought might take a shot on him..........the Eagles were NOT among them...

I know how I feel about him getting another shot....but I also know that I wasn't sure how I'd feel if it were my Vikings signing him......

Took me a minute to respond because I am at the annual music festival I normally attend. The football is football, that isn't what anyone seems to care to discuss.

As far as the sociology, that is going to play out in the future. Seems the signing is about getting value vs. skills, more or less. It doesn't seem likely they would have gone that way, but they have.

The only thing since he left prison that made me wonder were the reports that he was shooting a reality series around the $10hr. construction job. As far as those go, whatever truth there is to it, strikes me as unseemly and counterproductive. Those reports could be exaggerated, or pretty much fabricated, also.

The central issue appears to be the league giving him the opportunity. Once that happens, it is pretty clear someone would sign him.

Really, if there is an issue, it would be with the NFL.

It's not like the Eagles were outwardly campaigning for him prior to the signing.

I'm not proud they did it. I understand it, though. He has a long road head of him.

He hasn't 'done' much, yet. We'll see what happens.
