Anyone else think this is as much of a joke as I do?

being an eagles fan my opinion is probably a bit biased but yeah i have to agree this seems more than a bit unrealistic given the talent, but so be it, better they spend it on him than on some big time game breaker to assure them the east.

Look what's "out there".

When Favre and Vick are the "hot" names, having no broken limbs and a starting position is a pretty sweet gig.

Let me check...

Yup. The Giants STILL suck

At least they are not nearly as bad as Dallas

Eli is getting paid like he is a top three player in the league.

Only Julius Peppers and Carson Palmer are getting paid more on average per season.

I don't even know if Eli is a top three quarterback much less a top three player in the league.

Would a person put Eli in the same company as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. I sure would not and I think there are other good quarterbacks in the league as well so Eli would barely be in my top five quarterbacks and there are other positions to consider as well.

I think the Giants thought he was gonna have a good couple years and decided to pay him ahead of time. Now he doesn't have to do anything and can suck as much as he wants.

But he probably would've play 10 times as many games (162 instead of 16) and he would've made the franchise much more money.
