Also this organization needs to win so bad and we are totally ready to blow the roof off the place with the WHITE OUT! I just got my tickets by Fed Ex. They even sent each round. $80, $100, $120, $160 1st rd / 2nd rd / conf fin / Stanley Cup Finals. I cant afford $4000 so may sell half of the games. Wondering if I should go game 1 or 2. 5 or 7. Cant go to all.
There is no way Phoenix beats Detroit in the first round.Ill give you three reasons why.1Phoenix sucks vs Detroit 2.Pheonix as 1 power play goal in their last 25 trys. The playoff is no place to try on work on your power play.3.there are no shotouts in the playoffs.only sudden deathPhoenix won something like a league high 18 games in shootouts this year.Wont get that chance in the playoffs.

Thu, Oct 22 Detroit W 3-2 OT
Mon, Dec 14 @ Detroit L 2-3
Sat, Jan 2 Detroit L 1-4
Tue, Jan 26 @ Detroit W 5-4 OT

Looks like a pretty good match-up to me.

Dont get me wrong...every1 in PHX wanted any1 but the Red Wings in round 1. Pretty tough to face the defending West Conf Champs that were hurt early and now healthy w a hot goalie. Tough seeding in NHL. Should be VAN vs DET based on points. Wish we could face LA Kings.

I don't think it's going to be even close, Troy. Yes, i'm biased, but truthfully I dont think it will be close. You can't use the regular season as a measuring stick for the playoffs. Just ask San Jose. Things change when you get to the playoffs. And if you dont have that playoff experience, you don't know how it changes.

I say Detroit wins it 4-1...maybe Phoenix will get lucky and win 2. Either way I'll be watching game one from a hotel/Casino in Reno.

btw, Canucks will win in 6. Barring something stupid, the Kings should not beat the Canucks.

hmmm.....i think the second round will tell the tale....vancouver and chicago will probably kill themselves and have nothing left...san jose beats detroit in seven games
east holds some upsets...washington will beat the habs!....but i like buffalo as a dark horse to win a few series'.

so Buffalo/San Jose is my prediction

My dark horse for the west:
- Phoenix. Never underestimate a young team that doesn't understand that it's not supposed to win!

My dark horse for the east:
- Buffalo. One word: Miller

How I think it will go in round one:
West:
SJ (if they don't implode as they have EVERY YEAR since 2005)
CHI (young team that has the potential/balls to go far)
Not commenting on Van-LA,
DET (but watch for my dark horse Phoenix)

East:
Capitals
Devils (three words: Kovalchuk and Brodeur)
Sabres (hello, Ryan Miller. Need I say more?)
Penguins (they know what it takes to win now)

I was laughing last night watching Canucks-Kings...

First time I saw they had some 'Green Men' as fans...
