Us 'straylians got our first taste of HD sport tonight....thats real almost HD anyhow........broadcast at 1080i............was great.....

That was on free to air telly.............

We have no pay TV that are close to HD....I get stupid 576.....

When you fellas say " I got all these stations "............

How many are real???.....ie broadcast in full 1080p...or even 1080i..

There is HD....& HD.....

At least I get a choice of 3 stations for Superbowl.....1 real HD...free to air.........2 stupid satelite...fox & espn....with dud pictures...

Well, technically anything from 720 on up is HD. 1080 is just HD HD. lol.

Anyways...last I knew, there are no channels that broadcast in 1080p, the best they can get is 1080i. HD DVD and BluRay movies are in 1080p...but i think thats it.

We are slaves to tech markets. I mean if they come out with 1540z we will be out getting a 50" of it. Funny how our government lets foreign companies come in and sell cheap electronics until US companies who can't compete go out of business and now at their mercy they can charge whatever they want to now. We should be protected from such hostile takeovers. Car industry is the same. Cheap Toyotas and Hondas are better economically and have better reliability. WHen GM and Ford can't lose any more money the same will happen. We Import tons and export very little.

For the record I am rooting for the Giants to beat the Pats. So take your BS signs and $@%&.
