Default Arizona weather! Warning *graphic destruction*

Monsoons are coming...

Here is a photo of the damage from the terrible storm that passed through Arizona late today. It really makes you cherish our usual balmy climate, and reminds us not to take life for granted.

This happened very fast.

I realize you are joking around....

BUT....

Here are some pictures looking out the back of my Great Uncles house in Parkerburg, IA earlier this month. Courtesy of an EF5 tornado. My dad is the man in both pictures.

That's terrible. Yeah it was joke. Nothing against people with real weather. Tell him the market is buyer friendly out here. Builders made more homes than they needed and it is ripe for the picking. We will NEVER have a tornado or snow. NEVER an earthquake or mudslide. Arizona is AWESOME weather wise.

Or boring, depending on which way you look at it.

(oh, and btw, an earthquake is not weather. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine being a meteorologist and everything. )

I'll have a webpage up soon with more damage pics of that tornado.

hadn't realized there were 5s down there! yikes...

then there's the flooding as well...

why don't people move?!
umm...there's pros and cons EVERYwhere...

I would NEVER live where you do...too damn hot too often

gets hot here, too, sure....gets cold, too...
but I'm here because I grew up here and my 85 yr old mother is here....

Well after you are here a year or too u get used to it. It is only hot 3 months at the most. Sometimes less. But hey who sits outside all the time? A/C in the car and house. It is a dry heat. 110 here is not bad. 95 degrees in Dallas and you need a bath. So humid. Arizona and San Diego is perfect weather. Other 9 months are heaven. THe summer is ok too. Just get some sun block and get in the pool or turn the A/C on or see a movie. A little sweat never killed anyone and some of you could use a little sweat and a little sun.

Did you happen to read State of Fear ? I was wondering about some of the weather-related issues discussed in the book and if they were possible or not?

How am I suppose to know? A/C was at 80 all day. after race and Open I left for poker about 6pm. Got into the garage and started the car. Hit A/C and didn't feel uncomfortable for a moment. I mean if you are a gardener I get it. But who sits outside at noon when it is at the hot point. Around 6pm it was 89-95 degrees max. Maybe had to walk from car. Almost sweat. WTF?

Wow some people under whatever name can't help being an Ahole. I obviously had no idea what the temp was besides being in it from the car to Max's. I even ranged it to be close. You wanna tell me I am full of it face to face instead of playing tough guy on the net, let me know. I will be running a poker tourny at Driver's at Litchfield and Indian School. At least be a man and show up.
