Official MNF AND SUPER BOWL Contest thread
Ok....football season is officially started....and the first MNF games (double dose for week 1!) is Monday night, Sept 8.
That means it's time to start our official MNF contest! We'll try a couple twists this year....or more like additions...and I could be persuaded to add in more as the year goes on. 1st the basic rules: Predict the score of the game....the one closest to the ACTUAL score wins 100k for their TV port. Tiebreaker: Predict the horse trailer player of the game So each entry (for easier scoring) should be in this format <visiting team> score <home team> score Player of the game Including a team logo, etc, is fine...but please use that basic format A couple additions this year: 1.) Each week we'll put an additional 100k into a 'jackpot'....anyone predicting the EXACT score wins the pot...the pot increasing 100k each week it isn't won 2.) An additional jackpot of $1mil will be set aside for the member who wins the weekly contest the most during the course of the season While this contest will be primarily for Monday Night Football, we'll likely include other games later in the season (i.e. Saturday night games) at admin's discretion and preannounced. Here is the MNF schedule: Date Time (ET) Teams Sept. 8 7 p.m. Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers 10:15 p.m. Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders Sept. 15 8:30 p.m. Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Sept. 22 8:30 p.m. New York Jets at San Diego Chargers Sept. 29 8:30 p.m. Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers Oct. 6 8:30 p.m. Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints Oct. 13 8:30 p.m. New York Giants at Cleveland Browns Oct. 20 8:30 p.m. Denver Broncos at New England Patriots Oct. 27 8:30 p.m. Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans Nov. 3 8:30 p.m. Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington Redskins Nov. 10 8:30 p.m. San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals Nov. 17 8:30 p.m. Cleveland Browns at Buffalo Bills Nov. 24 8:30 p.m. Green Bay Packers at New Orleans Saints Dec. 1 8:30 p.m. Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans Dec. 8 8:30 p.m. Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers Dec. 15 8:30 p.m. Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles Dec. 22 8:30 p.m. Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears Get your entry in now!

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'. Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all. Nachos are just tacos that don't have their s_it together. I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it. Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike?
