I want to just mention one other thing about the federal government and education at least at the college level. Many colleges get money from the feds to conduct medical research just as one example. I am sure there are other good examples as well but I can not think of them right now.

Well I have another excellent example of higher education and even K-12 trying to get students to think like democrats.
There is something called Earth Hour. Many universities around the country have committed to turning out their lights for one hour starting at 8:30 p.m. in each local time zone tomorrow. This is very good thing these universities and other schools are doing even though I do not even know how many classes would be going on on a Saturday evening when compared to an afternoon on a weekday. I know it is the thought and feelings that count in this particular case. Here is a map of all the participating K-college schools that will be participating in Earth Hour tomorrow evening. I did notice something about this map. Most of the schools are in the East or along the West Coast. Come to think of that are where many democrats are and within decaying cities all around the country as well. Map Here So please tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. your local time turn out all of your light for one hour. I wonder if this means computer monitors as well. And televisions as well I guess. As we all know this will certainly help in saving our planet for sure. P.S. Speaking of higher education would a person like to take a wild guess the last time I checked it was 63-1 on which presidential candidate a college newspaper thought students, faculty, and others reading the newspaper should be going out to vote for last November 4th.

Well it took a group like Greenpeace less than six months to put President Obama on Mount Rushmore.

Acorn has been busy in Minnesota, so it was about time a different lefty guerrilla unit started earning our tax dollars.

On 2nd thought, paraphrasing a cartoon's take on North by Northwest for humor maybe caught on by fewer people than having to rely on crass stereotypes.

After two terms of crass, the hypersensitivity might appear unbecoming.

Well my first thought when I saw P's pic (actually when I saw it over the weekend prior to him posting it) as of North by Northwest. Fox has a show called Family Guy. It ran a couple seasons, was cancelled, but built up an underground following and so they brought it back after a few years on hiatus. In the first episode they brought back, the main characters try to prevent Mel Gibson from making a sequel to Passion of the Christ (this time its for revenge! ) and save the world from another 3 hour movie that has no nudity. Anyways they parody the North By Northwest scene which has Gibson walking off the monument and the conversation following that went like this:
"My god he just walked right off the edge." "Off course he did, he's a Christian. He doesn't believe in gravity." As I said, I was pretty sure not many people here would get the pop culture reference.

The question should so be asked which president on the list below should be added to Mount Rushmore and of course this is not our most pressing issue.
End of P rant. Well President Obama came in fourth what were people thinking. President Kennedy 29% President Reagan 20% President Franklin Roosevelt 18% President Obama 16% President Eisenhower 6% None/Other 5% President Jackson 2% President Johnson 0% Interesting vote about which former president should be the next president on Mount Rushmore.

So there may be room for another President on Mount Rushmore. So who should it be. I for one say no other President should be put on Mount Rushmore.
News story.
