There is some 'buzz' that some in the players' camp feel that they are being steamrolled into accepting this deal with a few "minor" issues worked out hastily and not in the player's best interest.

With Goodell coming out and saying that the HOF game is already being scratched, I can see the potential of that being the case...if the players reject this CBA ratified by the owners, the players will likely have a bad public image from this point forward, likely compounding the pressure on them (along with the loss of a few court decisions) to get something done soon.

Owners, with the help of the commish, have (to me) appear more prepared for the lockout and throughout the negotiation process as well. Doesn't mean they are right, they just seem better able to "work the system". imo.

But George Wilson, the player representative for the Buffalo Bills, called the owners' vote and subsequent news conference "an attempt to break the spirits of our men and to fracture the solidarity that we've exemplified thus far."
Story here.

Charger player rep Nick Hardwick:

Quote:
“There’s still a ways to go,” he said. “… I can’t put a timeline on it. Our leadership can’t put a timeline on it. We’re not going to be rushed into taking something we’re going to regret down the line.”

and now all they're waiting on is the players vote on an agreement accepted by the players reps.
