hmmm....I gotta get me one of those manager dudes to help renegotiate my salary. I have too much humility to ask for ridiculous numbers myself but would have no trouble inking my scratch on a godzillion percent wage hike.
Last year he made around 50 large every at bat!! I wonder what a quarter billion is going to work out to per at bat?

ridiculous...(http://dict.die.net/ridiculous/)
1.1. Fitted to excite ridicule; absurd and laughable; unworthy
of serious consideration; as, a ridiculous dress or
behavior.

2: completely devoid of wisdom or good sense; "the absurd
excuse that the dog ate his homework"; "ask a nonsensical
question and get a nonsensical answer"; "a contribution so
small as to be laughable"; "it is ludicrous to call a
cottage a mansion"; "a preposterous attempt to turn back
the pages of history"; "her conceited assumption of
universal interest in her rather dull children was
ridiculous" [syn: absurd, derisory, laughable, ludicrous,
nonsensical, preposterous]
3: broadly or extravagantly humorous; resembling farce; "the
wild farcical exuberance of a clown"; "ludicrous green
hair" [syn: farcical, ludicrous]

i'll trust your math, but will add...for ten years straight!!

It would go up if he missed any games, slight a chance as that may seem!

The numbers are bizarrely huge no matter how you slice these contracts...............use the same 42k per AB and use a viable 4.2 pitches (he averages slightly less than that over his career) and it breaks down further yet to $10,000 for every PITCH he sees................'course as was pointed out to me once, he's paid to do more than bat...so 10k/pitch would mean he plays defense for free...lol

For $10K per pitch, I would GLADLY throw in the defense for free...heck I'd even volunteer as bat boy, towel boy, and jock strap washer

Come on now....$10K a pitch...just say you went up 3 times and swing at the first pitch and flied out....thats a cool $30,000 for ONE DAY....I'd just invest in some tongs, industrial strength rubber gloves, and a lot of bleach....those jocks will be bright and white!
