Default Pga Ytd

The price high and low for YTD in the PGA profiles appear to be the 2007 ones.

Any chance of resetting them?

bump, as a reminder.

As the year goes on, not having the '07 & '08 separated lessens the value of the information in the profiles more and more.

Bill, out of curiosity, other than projections ...what, exactly, do you use that info for?

Being one that doesn't use a spread for projected divi, the stats help in researching past divis. Also, in relation to LT holds- the price swings are a help between projection updates.

Sports like NHL and NFL it's more for short term info.

PGA and NBA long term info.

It's not the only thing I go from, but it is the tiebreaker if I have a decision to make.

Well.... I track divi and, like you, find the game by game stats very useful...but the rest I never considered. A stock has a bad game ...I sell him......don't buy him back til he has another decent game. Many buy the next day right after the window, which I am not able to do, thus taking advantage of the moo. I can see where the weekly/monthly high/lows could be used to judge whether or not a stock is "hot" or not.

you're preferring highs and lows showing on profiles to ONLY encompass the current season? ...or am I misunderstanding

if you are, unfortunately that might take some doin'....'cause highs and lows are simply stored in a table by playerid...no easy distinction on what sport each is in.............but there might be pertinence to see if that could be added from our end as well....because we could then shrink the size of that table rather than trying to keep up to a calendar year's history in there

It seemed that was the way things were set up. Resetting at the start of each sport's season. Must differ from sport to sport. Pretty sure NHL, and NBA started this season from scratch.

As far as the YTD high and low goes- the season year is more pertinent than calender year.

In a calender year, there have been at least 3 different projection periods to muddle things up.

In a season it bridges none, one, or two updates.

Coincidental, I'm afraid.....if we archive/carve out our high/low table during a sport's offseason, it may appear we've started that sport at the beginning of their season. I seem to remember archiving during the summer/fall at least a couple of times the last couple years........so yeah, it would look onsite like NFL/NHL/NBA started with the beginning of their seasons.

....doesn't mean it would be all that difficult (easy for me to say, eh?) to add a row for sport id in our table....then delete out (archive) highs/lows for stocks in a sport when their season begins.

Just an example...

Those '07 prices for Nascar and MLB wouldn't be relevant to much in a couple of weeks. Maybe it could become part of the routine when projections are updated at the start of each season. Changing the term "365" to "Season" in the profile would clarify some of the confusion.

I seem to remember asking "365, relative to what" at least two or three times a year because they all seem to be different points.

I now understand what you are wanting, and yes it can be done.

As for 365 .. it is 365 from the current date.
