Default Qualifying divi logic

Ok...you've seen us talk about possibly doing this for at least a couple years now...and I'm thinking of doing it again.....

Qualifying divis where any driver entered in a race gets a divi for qualifying...even tho it might not be much if they don't finish towards the top. Initially my thought is that we replace top 5 Q projections with 'Average start' projections. Qualifying divis would then be based on how a driver qualifies compared to his average start projection. But there would also be a 'bump' (just like we've been doing for pole sitters only) added...possibly to just top 5, possibly more. Well...before I go further, let's see what YOU have to say about how this should be set up.

What would YOU like to see?
If a guy with an average start projection of 18 (kind of a median) wins the pole, what should his divi be approximately?
If a guy with an average start of 10 (i.e. johji) qualifies 35th how much of a negative?

*understand...we have always given out Q divis that are probably too high- it's been skewed that way simply to encourage activity on Q days. This may still be true with a new setup...just putting that out there.

Would like to see all drivers divi on q day. I would bump only top 4. That's where fantasy league bonus points are awarded.
If you added divi based on how a driver qualifies compared to his average start projection, I would like the nega to be comparitive to the positive.

Qualifying Divi's should be based on average qualifying just like everything else in this game is. Are average qualifying stats readily available.

I found some stats like average start at www.theinsidegroove.com tho that site didn't come up for me this morning. We only have to get those stats once...after that we'd have our own.
