Change you can Bank on
While it can be said, "it's only New York", let us commence the list of new (and expanded) taxes that are already being rolled out.
I wonder if anyone making less than Joe the Plumber downloads music, or buys soda & gasoline. If you do, bask in the glow of being one of the nation's top 1% of income earners.

This is a quote from the first article.
"According to state officials, almost one in four New Yorkers under age 18 are obese, and at higher risk for dangerous, expensive illnesses like diabetes and heart disease." I just love using a person's health as a reason to tax someone. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. As for the second story this one makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside as well. Someone needs to make a political cartoon of Obama as Robin Hood as well. I am sure we will see just that eventually. I also wonder how much of this redistribution goes to people that do little to nothing to actually earn this money they will be receiving. And of course there could be people with a disability receiving some of this money as well and no I am not talking about them for this particular discussion.
