Default NBA Draft talk

I'm just sitting here looking at rumors for who is going to draft who and there's talk about Tyler Hansbrough slipping all the way down to 20 or so. I don't really watch college basketball, but I would've figured he would've been a lock to the top 6 or 7. Why would he drop so far?

IMO because he is not as athletic as a guy his size needs to be in the NBA. He's a fighter...tough..never gives up....but good attitudes don't get you the best jobs usually. I actually think he won't be a much better pro than Morrison is or Laetner was.

Biggest question I've got is............what are the Timberwolves gonna do with (at last count) 4 (FOUR) 1st round draft picks?!

IMO there's a handful of guys who are gonna end up being lottery picks, that absolutely positively should've stayed in college 1 more year, too.

Minn wants a guard and a big guy but will end up with 2 guards.

of the general concensus top 10 there are 5-19 yrs old and 1-18 yr old!!!!!!!!!!!!

getting a PG should be in their grasp, but they've also been working on Memphis to move up to #2 and take Thabeet......a guy I just don't think is worth a top 5 pick, but they didn't ask me.

my Blazers traded 3 picks to move up 2 spots....which raises some eyes until you remember how many picks they've stockpiled in recent years, and how unlikely 2nd round picks are to make that team right now

I was reading if the Wolves move up to 2, it would be to take Rubio, which makes more sense. I agree, Thabeet isnt a top 5 pick even in this years lackluster draft. Personally Id rather for the Wolves to sit back and wait who falls in their laps for a guard (whether Rubio, Curry, or Lawson). And with trading MILMI/FOYRA (I think the Wizards have 7 guys right now who can play the 2), the Wolves really could use a SG as I have little faith Corey Brewer is the answer there. And one of the Wolves blogs I was reading made a good point, if the Wolves keep 5/6, it'll suck for whoever is 6 because that'll be $2mil less he'll be getting based on how the salaries work for that.

And it must be rough having all those picks and no real needs (other than Oden isnt that great), what is that like?

They're gonna try to move up and trade 5 (or 6) and 18 and try to move up to #2 and try to get Rubio. Then they'll probably take Curry or something. Then they'll try to get a big with their last first round pick.

apparently the Twolves plan on Al Jefferson and 4 guards...lol

no, at least one of those guards traded, but it sure tells you what they think of their current guards like Telfair.....
