They should have just kept the old logo and changed it to Miami, it would look much better than the new logo.

I dunno...even forgetting the logos and uniforms........is it a good move to try to connect more with the city while disconnecting some with the state? If the Angels thought it worked so well, why did they go from the California Angels to the Los Angeles Angels to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?
Will it be the Miami Panthers in hockey? (I'm aware the baseball change is also related to the new stadium) In a more rural situation, they went from having the Minneapolis Lakers to choosing to have the Minnesota Timberwolves when they got the new team. In another situation it's different by sport- we had the Charlotte Hornets then Bobcats but the Carolina Panthers.

I think you underestimate the pull of the latin community in South Florida...and there's nothing latin about Prince..'bargain' or not
