Also, I did some stat tracking. Bonds has hit 30+ homeruns 12 times in his career [possibly 13 with this season]. He has hit 40+ homeruns seven times. It isn't like he 'roided up, hit four 70+ homerun seasons, and beat Hank's record. He's been hitting homeruns since '87.

but look at the percentage of HRs that were hit after he ballooned to the weight/muscle/head size he is at now. I realize that workout routines, etc can and will increase your muscle mass as you get older and wiser. But not over the span of 1 season.

I saw something on ESPN that he went the first half of his career homering only every 20-25 ABs. Now over the last 1/2 of his career, hes get a HR every 8-12 ABs. THAT is pretty telling IMO.

I hate the guy. But not because of the possibility of steroid use. Because he's an ---. Plain and simple. Until he's proven guilty, he can have the record. But that doesnt mean I have to like him for it. Like I said...I just dont like him because he's a pompous ---.

Since the 'roid controversy started, Bonds has done two things:

1) Miss enough of a season to rid his body of the damaging evidence
2) Hit a max of 26 hr for a season (admittedly he's on pace for 35 this year but that will be the second worse total for a full season in the last 6 years) and is barely in the top ten this year.
