He was a trailblazer...and an incredibly loyal family man. He's a NY guy that wouldn't take no for an answer.....and was as anti-authority as anyone on the planet.....all things to be admired for.
The only issue I had with him that really irked me is the same thing that irks me about that knucklehead owner down in Dallas....... hire people to do a job then let them freakin do it! He wouldn't and neither can Jones...... R.I.P.

I have always said that Al Davis was a great owner for fans...he cared about one thing and one thing only...winning.
I also admired him for his love of the AFL and his rebellion attitude towards the NFL...guess which team, the only one, withheld their vote from ratifying the last CBA? Yep, Oakland. For the first time in their team's existence, no one - literally, knows what's going to happen next for the Raiders... RIP Al. |

I'm pretty confident my last words will be 'well crap, that didn't work'. Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all. Nachos are just tacos that don't have their s_it together. I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it. Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike? |
