Default A little R & R

Romney and Rice.

I'm not saying which way I'd vote, but Condoleezza Rice would be a HUGE pick as Romney's VP. Romney would add some much needed Foreign Policy experience to his campaign and he'd totally stick it to the N.A.A.C.P. for booing him earlier this week.

Rice has mentioned that she doesn't want the job.

Staying completely objective here, I think it'd be a good pick for him.

disagree. Rice is not pro-life and Romney has said on more than one occasion that his running mate will be. Add to that, the Dems/Libs/Socialist/Commies would start with the "back to Bush" BS

If Romney doesn't release his tax info, I don't think he has a chance regardless who his vp selection is.

If he releases his tax info and it shows he ain't paying any, then he certainly doesn't have a chance.

I'm voting for neither of the "big two" (as per usual) but I'd take Obama over Romney if I had to select between those 2 liars...Romney is too much of an arrogant elitist...

I'm sure, by now, you all know Ron Paul is my guy.....
that being said, I have to say this about Romney.....

I do not think there will be issue 1. with his taxes. Complex tax return...filed for and received an extension (as many guys in his $$$$$ class do). Has already released 2010....and if I remember correctly, has released 2 or 3 other years when he ran the last time. He's released at least 3 others while Gov of Mass. That's at least 6 in the last 10 years...and of course, they were all clean.

This election will be about jobs and the economy and nothing more. Not gas prices, not food prices- YET- (wait til you see the hikes coming in food prices shortly), not healthcare (and the GOP is wasting their time and our money with these 30 some odd votes to strike down Obama's debacle).

The right guy for this election (to be VP) would be Rubio. I concede he is young and relatively inexperienced, but after listening to him a few times, to me he sounds like an extremely bright guy that says the right things.

I think it will be Pawlenty or Portman (he plays it safe) Mrs Romney let slip...it might be a woman. No Rice for the reasons I gave above. But Martinez (N.M.) is very interesting. Christian, Hispanic, successful gov, well liked, hell's bells on crime (If not VP...then send witHolder back to Chicago with the rest of the thugs......how's that crime and murder rate going in Chi-town Rahm?) and make Martinez A G.
The only other woman that might have the stuff would be Haley from S C...but I believe their are skeletons.

If he feels he needs more of the Hispanics Then Martinez fits that...and so would Sandoval (Nev) fills many needs...also a crime buster.

Dark horses: Daniels- Ill...(ugh)...McConnel, Va.

To add re: Rice.....I think she's GREAT.....as Secty of State. She will not get any more of the black vote for Romney...not sure anyone could. BUT......there are MANY black folk that are pissed enough at Obama for taking their votes for granted, that they're, at least, on the fence.
He also got enough applause at that ballsy appearance at the NAACP convention to make me believe that even though many might not admit it.....they know they've been duped by POTUS.

Sayow....re: him being an arrogant elitist.....he sure does come off that way doesn't he? I'm not bailing on him yet though, I'm hearing more and more that he's not quite as bad as he's perceived. That coupled with the fact that, as I mentioned above, jobs and the economy.....I think he's qualified. POTUS has proven that the majority of new jobs his administration has created are merely thousand and thousands more that WE are paying for. It has to be PRIVATE sector jobs to get the economy stirred. I'm finding it harder & harder to give Obama any consideration at all with what I've seen so far. His super-pac ads are full of lies after lies that have been debunked, disproven et al......and Romney has been forced to defend. It's an effective tactic when you have little else to run on. Romney's not my guy....but I'm starting to feel like I prefer him decidedly, over POTUS.

rant over............

First, who is this imposter? This can not be the same rich76 I've had multiple political clashes with since the WSS days... I recall at one point debating(?) with a person under this so called rich76 account that wasn't very tolerant of drugs or supportive of anti-establishment sentiment and now voting... Libertarian? Has a POT LEAF as their avatar? ... GASP.. you are almost beginning to agree with me? Can this be true? Who would of thunk this even a decade ago from you? I'm more than happy to see that you have "seen the light". Here's a tip... stop watching FoxNews and watch more BBC America news broadcasts...not nearly as slanted as anything on the american air waves, imo .... when you want to wade into the religious realm again, let me know but only on your call, I try to keep it civil...

Romney is an arrogant elitist and I'll relate it to sports in this instance, just to name one. He talks about "dressage" with his show horses.... if that isn't the epitome of "upper crust, out of touch" rich folk, I don't know what is....

If you disagree, without looking it up, name anything that has anything to do with horse "dressage" ... and I apologize if I am unable to properly ask for anything that is relevant to this "sport" because the only thing I know about this is that horses are involved ... and not cheap ones. Who's on your fantasy dressage team rich? How about we add that to Jock$tocks as a new sport! I would love to see the categories for projections....

OFF TOPIC SIDE TRACK RANT: And speaking for "dressage" and sports... I watch every imaginable sport all the time ... I'm frickin' waking up early to watch the Tour de France live for god sakes... I watch all the major tennis championships ... of course golf, hockey, basketball, baseball, boxing, football, world cup soccer, the olympics, racing, etc.... I think I could talk to almost anyone about any sport at any time and have some sort of decent conversation.... BUT ... if Mitt Romney came up to me and wanted to talk "sports" and brought up "dressage" I would have absolutely no clue what to even respond with other than... "What's the weather like at any one of the 13 houses you own?"

Yeah... he comes off as bit arrogant and elitist to me...

Wow, did you just say you'd vote Obama over Romney, because Romney is too Elitist for you? Fortunately, you aren't voting. Unfortunately, too many of 'you' will.

That line of thinking is EXACTLY what is wrong with America right now -- Obama has done absolutely NOTHING to fix America. Another four years of him and this will be one sad country ... emotionally, financially and in terms of our freedoms.

You seem to misread many of my posts and may want to read them twice before you respond...

I WILL be voting but for neither of the major candidates as I never have and likely never will.

Romney will do exactly nothing to help this country, just as you say Obama is currently doing. Romney and Obama are the SAME. Their end goal is to keep their two parties in power and then both parties can take turns driving this country into the ground on the backs of working class.

BUT, if someone held a gun to my head and said I had to choose Romney or Obama, without flinching I would say I would take Obama. BUT I will not be voting for Obama - just to be clear - or Romney. I will be voting for Gary Johnson (if you must know) although I would change my vote to Ron Paul if he did run, which I think is very unlikely.

For my second pick in the fantasy dressage league I will take: Mity Silver Mane

I would say its unfortunate too many of "you" are voting and we are most likely going to be stuck with status quo after the election no matter which liar is elected.

Well, history has proven that lower taxes, less government oversight and more freedom have made this country better off -- I guess I'll take all of the "me's" I can get
