Default Eddy Curry...I mean c'mon...

This is yet another reason athletes get no sympathy from me when it comes to stupidity with their money....

Here's Eddy Curry....the guy makes over $10mil a year....exactly what excuses EVER having troubles paying the bills...the rest of his whole freaking life.....

Yet, for some reason, he had to take out a $570,000 loan in 2008...agreeing to 85% interest (that's not a typo!)

Here's some of his bills- $17,000/mo in payments to relatives, $17,000/mo for the home he lives in, $30,000/mo in household expenses including $6,000 a month for a personal chef and $1,000 a month for cable and satellite TV services!

His wages are already garnished $207,000 for some reason (child support?)....and now he's been ordered to pay $75,000/mo to pay that now $1.2mil loan back AND has to let them repossess 3 vehicles (a Rolls convertible and 2 Land Rovers).....and says he can't pay the $75,000/mo because of other bills.

Oh, and btw....he's played a whole 10 games in 2 years to 'earn' that $10mil+/year......

Meanwhile I budget to buy new underwear.....not really, but you know what I mean....

Of all the things I've lost over the years, I think I miss my metabolism most of all.

I'm not adding this year to my age because I really didn't use it.
Ever notice that extra fries and exercise sound a lot alike?

Agreed TMI.

But I guess underwear is pretty important and would need to be any budget.

I doubt I would even want to know what the loan was for. Maybe a one of a kind Ferrari convertible.

Now I know why at the NBA rookie symposium the topic of money management is discussed and some people just did not listen at the time this was being discussed it seems to me and I am sure it is not just Eddy Curry as well.

This kind of thing is all too common among professional athletes. Check out this article for more examples:
